Creative Technology. Design Leadership. Tech Wisdom for the Church.
About
Hi! I’m a design, content, and production technology professional with a hunch: the missing piece in our creative projects, organizations, and events isn’t more technology; it’s wisdom.
I’ve spent the past two decades working in music, film, live events, design, and production technology. If it involves technology and creativity, I’ve probably done it! Along the way, I’ve learned that there is no shortage of new gadgets, tools, and trends that promise a quick solution for our creative dreams. But the truth is that creative work requires something more patient and grounded.
In a world saturated with quick fixes and ever-changing technology, I strive for the long-term cultivation of wisdom. I am anchored in the belief that Goodness, Truth, and Beauty are essential to human flourishing and true creativity. To that end, I creatively utilize technology, lead through holistic design, and seek to foster tech wisdom in churches and non-profit organizations.
How I can help
I can help you execute ambitious creative projects, events, and installations through Colours & Shapes, an experience design firm I co-founded in 2011.
I can help your church or non-profit organization with your presentation and production technology through consulting, volunteer training, and coaching.
My CV
I first encountered the marriage of technology and creativity in the recording studio. While I have moved far beyond those early days of tweaking drum tones and experimenting behind the board, I’ve never lost the lessons I learned in the studio: it’s about the art, not the gear.
You can see my complete CV here.
I’m based in Langley, BC, but available to travel for training and consulting projects.
My Work
I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented and visionary people to bring some pretty ambitious creative ideas to life. You can find some the work I’m most proud of here.
